Thatβs what I thought at first when I saw the preview for that episode. I was actually a little disappointed when it turned out thatβs what she actually looked like.
Yeah, she is basically just a grayscale Rainbow Dash in appearance. In the first episode she appeared in, she even seemed more like a self-inserted expy of RD! You know, like RD projecting herself as the hero of the book she read in the episode, in a way.

She doesnβt look at all old enough to me to be around 40. I would think sheβd be a bit chunkier if she were that age, but maybe thatβs just me. Sheβs been on adventures since she was a filly, I believe. And the books describe how she also used to teach university at one point - I have known plenty of professors irl who are under 40.
I prefer the multiple colours honestly, mostly just because it gives us a character who has more than three colours in their hair that isnβt a regular rainbow deal. Β
& one who (probably) isnβt related to Rainbow Dash.
The gray streaks are actually of course just Dashβs hair colors in black and white. Also I think it would be great if she would be in the next EqG movie.
If sheβs been having adventures long enough to have a series of best-selling
novelsbooks, I suspect sheβs around 40 or so.I admit, I agree. The streaks of grey make her look much older than she actually is.

Human Daring Do, I always felt, would be somewhere in her late twenties to early thirties at least age-wise.
