Description

It had been close to an hour and a half since she maneuvered the soft white cloud far above Ponyville. She perched herself and began her watch, but Spitfire had set her mind to the task of locating her quarry and was determined to sit and wait until she was successful. As she looked over the small town and the surrounding lands as far as she could see, she had to admit that it was still a pretty sight to behold. The rolling hills beyond the town were a pleasant green, the dense wooded lands of the Everfree forest stood staunch, against the quaint country village. Even Lake Murgese seemed to do its best to stand out as its calm waters shimmered in the bright sunlight. However, her target was nowhere to be seen, and for moment the fiery maned mare debated on trying another tactic until long last, stemming from the mountains that lay off in the distance did she spy a tell-tale phenomenon that she was hoping for.

A billowing dust cloud moved across the landscape in quick fashion, darting to-an-fro with no real sense of direction as it meandered about. Knowing this dust cloud to be her objective, Spitfire quickly spread her wings and took to the sky towards it all the while making sure to maintain her altitude. What began was game of cat and mouse as she stalked her prey from on high knowing full well that bringing herself closer to the earth would be fruitless and would lead to her losing sight of him. She had to wait for dust trail to stop if she had any hopes of catching what she sought. As luck would have it, the dust cloud banked towards the lake and upon it settling, Spitfire angled her wings to begin her descent. She expertly brought herself down and landed softly in small clearing before trotting to where she last saw the dust cloud and she was rewarded for her efforts.

The blue of Sonics fur and quills stuck out boldly against the browns and greens of the lakeside as the hedgehog himself stood on the edge of a steep bluff that rose high above the waters of Lake Murgese. His hands hung at his sides while his eyes were fixated on the gentle rippling of the lake surface as a gentle breeze pushed its waters against the rock face in a never ending gentle lapping. Unlike most times that she saw him, he didnt wear a smile, and instead, his demeanor was stoic and one of thought. If he had heard her approach, he had certainly made no effort to acknowledge her.
