Not a good excuse when there are so many spellcheckers out there. The artist should care as much about the writing as the picture when doing a comic. Hopefully they themselves would not use such a bad excuse.
Hope they visit Derpibooru and can improve their English from this.

It’s called not having English as your first language.
You’d be surprised how many people don’t learn English until they’re young adults, and mostly do so online so they can communicate with foreigners.
I don’t get how people make these mistakes in such tiny sentences and in such big letters. How do you miss that?
