Actually she can’t. He died, this scene is depicting Diamond and Cheerilee meeting with a pony that he married after his first wife died Who is very beautiful, but clearly a gold digger.
But I will agree, it is sexist. In this particular case it happens to be 100% accurate, but it is sexist all the same.
……..Should I be offended, ‘cause that sounded quite sexist. It’s not like Cheerilee can talk with Filthy Rich, oh wait, she can. He’s shown to care about his daughter, so he’d at least listen and try.
