I’m sure someone will write the inevitable grimdark Fanfiction about it.
I’m starting to imagine that, if the curse on this town is lifted, all the ponies will just repeatedly scream in agony as the muscles in their mouths slowly return to a state where they’re capable of motion, after being ‘unused’ for so long, stuck in their permanent smiles.
You can even have one pony try opening their mouth, only to outright tear the muscles surrounding their jaw.
