Omg XD
same here o.o
Artemis Fowl. Considering that’s the first time I’ve seen that name it I associate with males. Learn something new every day.
Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness and archery - her attribution to the moon was apparently a later development. Her Roman counterpart is Diana.
Now, naturally, Artemis as a name is entirely female. The masculine version would be Artemios (Greek form) or Artemius (Latin form).
Artemis is a woman?… Rather, is there even an Artemis is Greek or Roman mythology?
Mmm okey no argument here I didn’t even know other names of r63 than shining armor and I just though its standard to have same meaning :D Gleaming shield (still about protection )
Now, now, to be fair, the names so prefered by fanon aren’t all around perfect, either. R63!Applejack is still called Applejack, so why not do the same with the rest of the “Male 6”? Or, why is R63!Luna still called by a female name - “Artemis”?
In the end it’s purely arbitrary that one guy’s suggestions were chosen over others’.
Since when do the R63 names of ponies have to match up 100%?
Pinkie Pie’s counterpart is Bubble Berry. Bubbles aren’t directly correlated to pinkness or pies, but the name works. Same goes for Fluttershy and Butterscotch.
Carapace and Chrysalis both start with the same letter, both have three syllables, both relate to insects, and both roll easily off the tongue.
It still implies the outer shell of an insect. It’s an organ, as opposed to an abstract process.
Maybe but its have nothing with chrysalis and chrysalises in nature are for…
Or he could just send Gleaming to the mines and see how she feels after that.
of course xD
@gittonsxv
It would have at least one hole…at the tip… >:3
it might be armored and prehensile however,
good name too.
