Eyes: Opened Up
Before you guys go nuts with theories, keep in mind that this is just part of the toy line, as far as we know. The gimmick is that every pony in this line comes with a necklace and charm that you put on the carriage, so to complete the carriage, you need to get all of the ponies.
 
There’s one for each of the mane six, and then Sunset Shimmer (>>694452). However, there are ALSO ones for Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops (>>694450), Flower Wishes, and Skywishes, all of whom are just generic background ponies.

Have you guys noticed that there’s no AJ toy in this ad? Clearly that’s a sign that AJ is going to die at the beginning of Season 5 and the mare with the green mane will be her replacement.

Well, that was even before EQG was totally confirmed, where Pony Sunset made her appearance.
 
Maybe this means there will be more Pony Sunset in a near future, like at EQG 3 or even S5 (if I am lucky).
