I checked it. every 5 rings sonic becomes a bit fatter. 50 rings and he’s a (literally) immobile slob and will die (presumably to a heart attack).
It’s almost like cat mario where you have to forget about everything you knew about the game in order to get anywhere.
Just without being too dickish about it.
A Sonic Game where you have to collect as few rings as possible per level?
Sounds like a challenge to me. Any retro gamer want to take them up on it?
