here’s a short story to go along with this:
 

 
“Stand back Twilight Sparkle,” Chrysalis said as she stood up to the giant dragon “I’ll buy you enough time to free the foal from Deathwing’s egg”
 
 
“the dragon just chuckled as his throat began to glow
 
“You can’t face a dragonic aspect He’ll kill you!” the young unicorn said worrying for her former enemy
 
“i have to try. it’s my fault we even ended up in this accursed land!” Chrysalis shouted “Had i not blasted you while you cast a teleport spell we would still be home fighting our petty squabbles. Besides part of that egg is the shield spell i placed on the foal to protect her while the two of us traveled, so the current situation is my fault as well as his!” She glared at the dragon not about to blast the three of them with his lava. Walking up to the cliff Chrysalis powered up a shield not of her old green magic the new blue kind powered by the trust and faith of the two in her care. “YOU WILL NEVER HARM MY COMPANIONS VILE BEAST SO SAY ME CHRYSALIS QUEEN OF THE CHANGLINGS OF EQUISS!!!!!!!” “take care twilight free her and get home safe” Chrysalis thought just as the first torrent of lava hit her shield.

Actually he does. The armor you’re looking for is the ugly chin brace he wears, which was ripped off in a short comic she wrote. But he does have his horn armor, back armor, and chest armor.

Actually, Neltharion and Twilight are saving Applebloom from Chrysalis.

Too much win.

Also notice that Neltharion doesn’t have any armor on him. He’s not Deathwing anymore.

Okay. Chrysalis tried to eat a little filly and is bout to get ate.

She knows she’s going to die. She figures if she can at least buy Twilight enough time, she’d have done done something worthwhile in her life.

Chrysalis, just give up. You are fighting Neltharion, the Earth Warder, one of Azeroth’s draconic aspects. You are an ant compared to him.
