Then why every single spear mod that I came across had you swinging spears like clubs? It looks so fucking stupid, it strips spears of any dignity whatsoever.
 
Why the fuck should we even have to mod this? Come on Bethesda, put back spears. This time put them in a game that isn’t boring as fuck.

Actually, there was a thing where devs had to make a bunch of things in skyrim for fun, like mods and stuff, and one of the devs made a spear mod I think.  
It was either that or a random fan. It’s not really that hard.

Not really, from what I’ve read, they can’t really add new animations to the game. They can replace them, but not add.
 
And trusting with a Warhammer is far stupider than swinging with a Spear.

That sounds more like a Animation Short coming then a Engine Limitation.  
If you could get access to a decent Motion Capture studio (University perhaps) You might be able to get around that.  
That’s a lot of work for a Mod though.

Sad thing is that due to engine limitations, they can’t mod proper spears in Skyrim. So instead of using a spear properly characters just bash things over the head like it’s a club.
