@Starlight Storm
Its agree with a lot of what your saying Starlight Storm, but I did notice that two of your statements contradicted each other.

Didn’t the Reflections arc do nothing but take Twilight out of her comfort zone and give her enormous character growth?

Like the Nightmare Rarity arc, the Reflections arc was written before the upcoming premiers and finales. They would progress the characters to a high degree far past the show, but when certain story lines in the show were finished and they had to write within THAT continuity, they had to write for the characters that fit in the current continuities.

For example, Spike and Celestia’s FF #3 was written after Crystal Empire and Magical Mystery Cure, which adjusted how we saw Celestia’s motivations.

For another example, The Good, The Bad, and The Pony was written after Princess Twilight Sparkle and Twilight’s Kingdom, which adjusted how we saw Twilight’s personality.

However, unlike FF #3, Twilight wasn’t supposed to get a wake up call like IDW normally wants to do, because Sunset was supposed to give Twilight that in the Rainbow Rocks movie.

Both Rainbow Rocks and The Good, The Bad, and the Pony demonstrated how Twilight’s constant praises from Celestia turned her into less then a protagonist when Twilight simply stopped listening to her friends rationale. I’m not saying that the The Good, The Bad and the Pony arc wasn’t painful, it was, but it was supposed to be painful. Additionally, they didn’t bring up Twilight’s hesitation only once as a bad thing in the comic(that really would be bad writing…they brought it up multiple times! From trusted characters. That’s a clear message that the protagonist has bad judgement.

Dude, calm down! It’s a joke on the awful writing of the previous comic, we know the dangers of the Timberwolves. We’re not immature, we’re just poking a little fun.

@Background Pony #0F40
YOU are immature. When did we outright called ourselves “TRUE FANS TM”? Those kind of defenses is why Katie is accused of being whiteknighted, because there are always People who believe “critics” hate you or don’t understand you. Have you ever thought that we make a bunch of “Twilight moronic rules” because deep inside we want to be proven wrong? To Actually see improvement and learning from past mistakes?
If you keep Cook in her “safebox” away from the “eenie meanie critics” then don’t be surprised when another Reflections or “The Good, The Bad and The Pony” bomb comes along.

They’re not immature they are TRUE FANS TM that will never overuse a joke like Katie Cook.Our TRUE FANS TM will never repeat the Twilight joke ad nauseam at every IDW posts,no siree ,they are certainly not unoriginal like Katie Cook

Oh my GOD! You people can be so immature!

We’ve seen how dangerous Timberwolves can be and just try reasoning with a ravenous, slavering wild animal. See how far that gets you.
Meresflut

Now that I think of it Pinkie couldnt have cake without sinking her face in it if Spike wasnt there. And thats quite a fece to say thank you Twilight.

I just realized I hate how this artist does paneling.

Although they employ some of the classic techniques (nonfixed sizes, breaking the borders, 3d illusion) the overall effect is bad still, there is no clear flow from one panel to the next, consistency within a signle panel is lacking, and while they fill up every panel evenly the result is crammed and distracting.
