I could totally picture shining armor being a jock in high school, but without the dickhead attitude though IMO.

This is just some quick internet research but an average quarterback in the NFL weighs around 200-220 pounds while the average professional European goalies who tend to be the largest on average weight around 170-190 pounds. So I think Shining is the one who’d be doing the ass kicking.

Shining Armor’s tryout for Canterlot High Hoofball Team. Sadly, the ball went 3 feet and into the horn of another player on his team. His greatest achievement in the game of HoofBall was knocking over the apple-aid cooler into the coach in front of Princess Celestia. So far the only student to ever accidentally splash a Princess Celestia in the history of Canterlot High, and most likely the last.

I can imagine Sombra and Fancypants (wearing Spain and England national team jerseys, respectively) beating Shiny up for not playing the true version of football.

Or Europeans. In fact I think they’d be more likely to kick the crap out of him for not playing The Beautiful Game™.

Regardless, I prefer Katie Cook’s interpretation of Shiny as a D&D nerd whose only sport may have been cross-country.
