Actually, Giga Impact would be better in ORAS. Since it’s a physical version Hyper Beam, it would take advantage of Slaking’s high attack stat.

One thing I love about the Normal type in Pokemon Emerald: Slaking + Hyper Beam. Watch Chuggaaconroy’s let’s play for as to why.
Yeah, Normal types may be the most under-estimated type in pokemon, which I’m guilty of doing so myself sometimes. I know one good normal type is Lopunny, which got even better in ORAS (not just because of it’s new mega evolution, but also because now it can learn High Jump Kick via leveling)
Normal is a decent type. Immunity to Ghost, only one type weakness, can often learn a variety of moves, has the most moves, has the highest HP stat on average, etc. Kind of a mixed bag type with some flaws but by no means a bad one.
Although my favorite type is Electric.
