Princess Celestia is too forgiving a principal if she’s giving The Plastics The CMC just six months instead of a full blown suspension.

** –He answered questions from teacher that they didn’t, and they reacted poorly to the unintentional humiliation.
A lifetime of regret she will never pay off.
The cutie mark criminals. Sounds about right after what they did to my waifu
@Millennial Dan
Gentlemen, calm down, please.
I pay attention to anyone who replies to me. While some are more reasonable than others, I can’t think of anyone who has “ripped apart everything” I say. So what if you disagree with me? You’re allowed to have a different opinion.
And by the way, is that a dare? I actually kind of like the idea. Call me pretentious if you want, but I’d be willing to wager I could come up with a better comic than what Anderson and Fleecs churned out. In fact, a lot of people could, thanks to the less than average quality. I’m sure even you would be able to point to plenty of fan-made works that are much more entertaining than this, both artistically and story-wise.
Or maybe YOU could, since YOU are the loudest critic on this entire site (hell, even Itsthinking isn’t as negative as you, as far as art goes). But I doubt you could do it. I’d gladly support Mebberson drawing an EQG comic. Or maybe Andy.
Seriously though, if you hate Tony Fleecs so much, just filter him out. Don’t keep coming here with your constant harping and negativity that requires me and a couple of others to show up and rip apart everything you say. I don’t enjoy it, and I’m sure you don’t like reading my contrary opinions (if you bother to read me at all).
Your word is not law. Your opinions aren’t worth more. You probably don’t know more about art than me (or plenty of others on this site). Quit trying to lord yourself over everyone; it makes you come off as pretentious and pedantic.
I was talking about if they got a suspension, not detention.
If you were allowed to “screw around” and do whatever you wanted during detention, your school was a lot more lax than mine…
Indeed, and that’s how the “Derpster” was born. I think one of the reasons she’s so popular is besides her goofy look, and silly things they have her do sometimes, she’s kinda like the adorable “underdog” in the pony world.
Yeah, she’s quite good. :)
They left her eyes that way for kicks and giggles in the first episode, but never intended to do it again. We have the fandom and Jayson to thank for the rest.
I think Amy Mebberson should take a stab at an EqG comic. She draws humans all the time, and her art is usually pretty cute.
Yeah, but if you look at every episode between that, and up to “Feeling Pinkie-keen,” her eyes were underp’d/normal. So it might not of been intentional at first. (Until “Derpy” became popular. It was said the staff liked the gag so much, they decided to start “derping” her eyes in the show in post-production. In Season 2 they began pre-planning Derpy’s appearances.)
As for Tony, I suppose his interior art could be better, considering how great his covers are, but I don’t feel he’s as bad as you say, but you have some points.
I’d like to see somebody else do the EqG issues sometime though. Andy Price did draw human Sunset at the end of the “Sunset Shimmer” orgin story, and it looked pretty good.
Ben Bates might be quite good for it to, but sadly he’s not doing anymore comic book artwork (he also drew for Sonic & the TMNT comics) until further notice, as he’s apparently going into animation instead.
Derpy’s eyes were left that way initially because someone thought it was funny, as I recall.
But yes, there are plenty of animation errors in the show, which is why I specified that this is a different medium with different guidelines. Also, there are mistakes, and then there are shortcuts; Fleecs employs the latter too frequently.
Even if it was “pointless,” (according to you) I still say Babs looked cool though. I guess it was a li’l odd they made her older, but oh well. (I kinda like how things in the universe don’t mirror the ponyverse exactly personally.)
Even so I still enjoyed it. As I said, I felt some of the art was good, and some of it was off.
Also, the show was riddled with animation errors, and such to. (Especially, in the first season, heck that’s how we got Derpy.) So it has it’s hiccups to.
I didn’t hate it, but age-progressing Babs was pointless, as they could have just as easily filled the roll with someone else. Also, if you look at the art, there’s plenty of evidence of laziness in that one too.
The desk thing is bad enough, but come on, copy-pasted characters? It’s one thing when the show does it, but this is a still-frame medium. Lame tricks like that are hard to miss in a comic.
I liked the first EqG issue actually, (MLP:FiM Annual 2013) some parts the art wasn’t bad, some parts it was off though I’ll admit. Story-wise it wasn’t bad, and I liked Babs Seed’s EqG design.
