If it matters, when I commissioned those, years apart, I didn’t have anything like continuity between them or exactly how one goes about making hybrids in mind. For this one, I wondered what their kids might look like and turned to the artist known for making cute impossible offspring. For the other one, since it’s a pair I actually ship, I wanted to show love and commitment and figured intentional baby-making was one way to make that more visible. If I were going to write a fanfic or something and exactly how they made their kids was going to come into play, it’d be more complex than “toss some shiny rocks over there.”

I have only seen the pilot of the G1 cartoon so far, I’m attempting to watch them in numerical order, but I’ve seen screencaps and YouTube videos and I have to say. This ship definitely sails in my book.
