As an alicorn, it makes sense that she most likely has the ability similar to Pegasus to make herself light enough to walk on clouds.
More like magic, lest we forget that de-marked Applejack in The Cutie Map was closer to spraining an ankle than to breaking down Starlight Glimmer’s door before she got her mark back. Bone and muscle density would’ve dictated that a lack of magic wouldn’t have mattered there.
But they get the strength and resilience of Earth Ponies in the bargain, too.
