Strictly realistically, all that would happen is the pilot parachute would be launched out, and the deployment bag with the folded canopy would not even leave the container. Also strictly realistically, that would be Twilight’s reserve parachute, which has to be repacked by a certified rigger, which is even more inconvenient.
But nobody here but me would care about stuff like that, and I’m going for comedy here.
Would it even unfold if you pull it open like that while on the ground? Aren’t they just folded in a special way? I mean a car airbag would do it, because there is a little explosion going on that blows the thing up. But I don’t think they have those in parachutes. And it just opens because of the wind.
