With the rate Japanese entertainment is going, I don’t find any of this outlandish in the slightest.
 
Except maybe Miyazaki being alive in 15 years.

This just goes to show that franchise-milking-to-death suits, film directors(or actors, etc.) that don’t know how to exit stage left (or is it stage right?), “modernizing” of classic entertainment, overused tropes, stereotypes, and caricatures, blatant abuse of titillation to cover up a lack of a good story, and other kinds of malarkey like this truly do cross all kinds of boundaries.
