^ YES IT DOES. It isn’t love and tolerance if it doesn’t extend. I’ve probably never heard any of the band’s songs, but there’s no reason for me to be like “aw **** on them (the people)” because of something I don’t like that they did.
 
Now, that’s not to say I agree with their music. I did read what I think was one of their lyrics and if I interpreted it as they meant it, It’s asinine; “It’s not love but let’s pretend it is…” (E.G. “I don’t love you but let’s lie about it”)
 
That’s not being hypocritical, It’s caring for the people but hating any mistakes they did or do which I’m well-aware are just plain bad to do. I could get more detailed here.
