I agree entirely that she does have noticable marker influences (her horn and accessories look exactly like the markers) but she herself is also very like a necromorph (the spikes on her legs, her teeth, the holes on her mouth that giver her a more visceral smile). The heavy usage of the marker symbol can be explained by there being no other significantly recognizable symbol to represent the necromorphs. I see her as an embodiment of the necromorphs as a whole including their usage of the markers.
 
Even when referring to Fluffle Puff she calls her “little moon”. While this could be merely a term of endearment the fact remains that her usage of it and her relationship to the necromorphs and markers gives a strong connection to the brethren moons who used the markers and not to the markers themselves. In a more literal sense, if she and Fluffle Puff are sisters (in any sense of the word) then her usage of “little moon” would most likely set her as the “big moon” or rather a more experienced one. Because the brethren moons are the highest known form of the necromorphs they could be seen as an adequate representative of the necromorphs as a whole. This would signify her being closer being the embodiment of the necromorphs and not just the marker.
