Actually, Trendmasters gave SpaceGodzilla a far better origin, Godzilla’s cells got sucked into a black hole, spat out through a white hole and mingled with a crystalline organism.

Actually, in his initial film, it really DID seem like SpaceGodzilla had a plan: To kill Godzilla and claim Earth as his empire. He lured Godzilla into a fight by trapping Godzilla Junior and mocked him.
