Depends on situation. Amethyst Star, a purple/pink background unicorn became something of a “minor character” in “Mysterious Mare-Do-Well” when Rainbow Dash was interacting with her; a small speaking role, there to show off how bad Dash had gotten over the course of the episode.
 
Another thing on VinylTavia: at which point would they ever be involved with one another, especially now when it’s all but established through context cues that Vinyl lives in Ponyville and Octavia lives in Canterlot? The whole idea of making them roommates is nothing but a plot device in fanfiction for reasons why they even should be getting into contact in the first place.
 
Although, as much as I hate the ship, artist:bobthedalek’s work is hilarious.

Actually, I was mentioning season 4 when I said that. They didn’t speak to each other, more like Rarity did it for them. Fluttershy said a sentence to him, but that’s it.

I am a G3 fan. I have been since the Hub showed Twinkle Wish Adventure. I have watched all of the G3 specials all the way through, except for “World’s Biggest Tea Party”. I cannot watch it. I either get bored or it just annoys the heck out of me.
