If it were me, I’d make it like this,

Raiden = Twilight
Armstrong = Tirek/Sombra But more likely Tirek. (Crystal machines, son.)
Mistral = Rarity
Sam = Rainbow Dash/Sunset Shimmer
Sundowner = Shining Armor
Monsoon = Pinkie Pie

But hey, that’s just my version.

Sundowner’s personality and ideals can be ported over to Sombra perfectly. They simply match each other perfectly and make sense on top of that.
DasHiveMind

Sombra makes a horrible Monsoon because Monsoon suffered under the rule of power hungry maniac, while Monsoon does believes in the same philosophy thanks to being broken.

Meanwhile Sombra and Sundowner share a similar trait that’s like a major part of their character. Whenever they open their mouth, it sounds like they’re trying to win a contest of being the biggest scum-bag in a 100 mile radius.

The backstory that I thought up for him is that he was a Unicorn general back from when the three races were at war, who was away from his people when they declared peace with the other two races. He came back to a world that to a world that abandoned all the ideals that it taught to him, and demonized him for them. He eventually snapped and went on a rampage, being caught in the end and thrown to the depths of Tartarus. The abominations of Dark Magic that lived in them twisted and destroyed his body and mind. Nothing of his past life remained except for his hatred, and his ideals.

True dat. Also good to know to know that I’m not the only Sundowner fan here. Also, Sundowner would have an interesting playstyle if he was playstyle, a pure tank basically. As for Sam, I honestly don’t know.

I see Sombra as a staunch-faced Combat Pragmatist with only a dash of Blood Knight. I theorized that he feels that war and combat is where ponies truly belong, and everything that he ever did was him trying to prove his point.

I see Sombra as a Blood Knight with a dash of Combat Pragmatist and Combat Masochist ( but only if he is enjoying the fight, that is). Though if we are with the ideology background, I would like to see Sombra as Pixy from Ace Combat Zero.

Sombra’s personality is kinda of a mystery, really. It’s hard to define what was his personality. We don’t know if he was a slavering monster because he wanted more fortune, if he just loved subjugating other beings, or if he was driven by some sort of ideology.

No, it doesn’t. Sombra and Monsoon have rather opposing personalities. Sombra as Sundowner makes a lot more sense. They have similar personalities and Sombra would far more likely act like Sundowner.

Sombra as Monsoon makes perfect sense. Both of them barely appeared on-screen, and died before they could make any lasting impact on the plot, yet still have fans because of awesome design/implications/theme song.

Senator Armstrong should have been Mayor Mare or Pipsqueak, though. The fun about Armstrong is just how out of nowhere he came into the plot.

That was my logic, to get around not being able to CQC in his smoke form, his cyborg body used the smoke/aura as a kind of magnetic medium that made it easier to guide the magnets. And like monsoon, most of sombra’s body was shattered in a shoot-out.

Also I guess I should have included links to the high rez versions on the page since tumblr likes resizing my stuff and I don’t know how to stop it from happening :P https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9776613/winds_of_destruction_color.png

I always thought that Sombra had insane melee skills but we never got to see them because you cant CQC in a forced-upon-you smoke form, and we only got to see Sombra in his true and most powerful form only for a few seconds.
