I kinda miss the old look of Common Sense Media

One of the questions this site asks:  
Kids: Do you like the characters in this show? Have you seen these same characters on toys, books, or clothing? Does watching a TV show like this one make you more tempted to want items like these?

I think the “Age: 17” part of the screenshot is saying that one of the user-submitted reviews (the one titled “Friendship IS magic!”) was submitted by a 17 year old user.

Someone’s trigger, obviously.

A fair thing for Common Sense media is they want to make sure that parents are aware of any potential gotchas that a work may have. Rarity kissing Spike on the cheek or Shining/Cadance kissing directly after their wedding is rather tame for the target market, but Common Sense Media is considering across the board, and parents may simply not want to have their children seeing kissing at a given age (irregardless how protective that might make them be). They just call it “sexy stuff” to be clear of what falls into that. Same with language - there’s clearly no swearing but there are definitely a few phrases that are close enough that could cause concern with parents.

…that’s considered ‘sexy’? I guess that makes sense, considering they probably see the NSFW stuff as immoral napalms from superhell that would incinerate the flimsy moral fibers of humanity as a whole. Hopefully that hyperbole is way off.

A brief walk through the actual reviews reveal quite a few fundies as contributors. I’m not going to sift through the entire board and see if any of them are, but I’ll bet at least one has shades of it.
 
The fact of the matter is, the entire organization stinks “think of the children” from both sides, with clean scent trails that lead in either directions. It’s clear that a portion of it’s user base is fundie, and that the upper echelon is a mix of republicans and democrats from various shades of partisanship. It’s a non-partisan clusterfuck.
