But that’s just my opinion.
Yes I do see how that could work, especially the bit about the “darkness” being Father, but Luna? I would think she is, at her Season 1 pre-Nightmare worst, closer to Envy than Pride. After all, it was her jealousy of Celestia and her sun’s warmth that consumed and twisted her into the hate filled (and ultimately pathetic) being that wanted nothing more than to bring pain and misery to the “lesser” mortals.
And GOD, that screencap - the Dwarf’s true form really is some nightmare fuel, perfect for Nightmare itself lol.

could be a deformed version of Nightmare Moon!

Ah, thank you for the explanation! I think the comparison of Greed to Sombra is apropos, at least when it comes to their (very) basic motivations, though it does do some injustice to Greed. Greed is one of the most interesting characters in the series IMO, and goes through quite a journey; if Sombra had even a quarter of his characterization, he would have made for a quite a more compelling character.
If I may ask, in a pony FMA who would you have as the Dwarf-in-the-Flask?
Also, this is why there are two Raritys there with the Ouroboros tattoo: one represents Greed and the other represents Ling.
