Hasbro doesn’t care about ages, they made these to suck in more money from the Monster High and Ever After High fans, to the point that Equestria Girls is the bigger face than My Little Pony.

They are all financially independent, have their own place of residence and not in school. They have no parental authority or restrictions and conduct all their own business.

Yeah, that would be cool, but the franchise seems to steer away from showing adult characters, unless they are jester types like Discord, or undeveloped blanks like the Princesses. I think Cheerilee is probably the most developed adult character on the show.

Yeah. Something tells me that the Dazzlings were just disciples to a higher villain. It would be nice had they included Persephone into the movie as the Queen of Sirens.

Sirens were the companions of Persephone, cursed when they refused to intervene when Hades abducted her. Either that, or they lost a singing contest with the Muses and fell into the sea after the Muses made crowns out of their feathers (that’s perhaps more relevant ot the Rainbow Rocks storyline).
 
Some writers say they were cannibals, but it seems more likely they kept the shipwrecked sailors they lured on their island until they starved to death. never really heard them described as monsters-closest is that they were women with the heads of sparrows (I;m sure that is someone’s kink). Most classical painters portray them as hotties.

Not much in MLP can be hideous anyway. The changelings were probably designed to be hideous, but just come off as cute in FiM’s artstyle.

Sonata fans are fortunate for the fact that they didn’t follow the Greek mythology too deeply. Otherwise, from what I’ve heard, sirens are really actually hideous monstrosities masquerading as beauties.
