But these issues weren’t-good. That ending? That ending was the absolute most contrived thing I’ve seen yet regarding FiM- like holy shit. I wouldn’t begin to call this writer talented. The story just kinda’… Oozed around.

Honestly, the only issues I really had any issues with, personally, was the story for this two-parter, as well as the ending for the Pets one-shot. Twilight Justifies Evil meme has, at least some, merit to it.

Sorry, I just can’t stand how glorified Andy Price is after Neigh Anything or the Luna’s Micro (Reflections was an hilarious example of “so bad is good”, and I actually loved it).  
If there is something that pisses me off is that a good simple story like this is treated like crap (despite the douchy but actually talented writer) and a mediocre 80’s fest or a complete derailment of a character is treated like even better than the show.

Hopefully word will get out not to inject fandrama crap into a kids’ comic and we won’t have to put up with any of this any more. I mean, he’s hardly the only writer or artist on the comics with POLITICAL VIEWS, but everyone else has the good sense not to drag that onto the printed page.

Anyway, I’ve never even heard the phrase, “Price lover”. For your information I just enjoy those comics more. There’s some issues that are pretty BLEGH like the all-too-long pirate arc which started out about 50x more interesting than it ended, but generally speaking I just find the comics more like the show than these two issues.
 
And hell I loved the last arc with the mirror universe. That was fab. Good to get info on Starswirl.
 
As for pandering, can’t say I’ve really noticed much. References here and there and some jokes, all of which I appreciate because I’m like, “Hey, hah. I get that. That’s clever.” and that’s really it.
 
If anything you sound like you’ve got no love for the comics.
 
Besides, I don’t mind, “Pandering”. Let’s be serious here- who are the comics marketed for? Really?

Well we can agree that the drama is a bit nuts. Doesn’t make me any less glad that this odd break in comics won’t occur again though.

I’m not sure who the bigger ninnies are here, the ones who are waaayyy too cool for school and don’t read the comics so they bit the hell outta this giant-ass hook and thought it was a real cover, or the ones who think “I prefer a different artist’s art style” = “TEH ART TOTES SUXX0RZ!!1!”. Just because it’s a comic for kids doesn’t mean everyone has to be a bunch-a freakin’ children about it, FFS.

You sound like a Price-lover. Seriously, the guy’s comics aren’t that great (except Big Mac’s, that one is top-tier). In fact I hated the second part of Return of Queen Chrysalis, and Neigh Anything to me is the absolute worst.  
I know Ted was an idiot, but his stories were at the very least simple and fun. What’s so shit about this comic? That it didn’t have blatant pandering like Price’s comics? Or that it actually focused on a plot and not on filler gags?

The art is of a considerably lower quality than Andy Price’s- hell some frames re-used shit. That doesn’t help that the plot was seriously just boring and contrived. (Like really? That ending? Really? Bleeueuuuggghhh.)

Honestly? I disliked the story itself more than the art.
 
The Art didnt bug me much at all, but the story was… lesser episode quality. But you know what, I overlooked it.

I agree with you, though. I do not defend the man’s support of such things in any way, that’s not the direction of my question.
 
What I question is Garbowska’s art and what does it have to do with the comic being awful. It has nothing to do with what Anderson supports or what have you, it’s about a comic book that, quite frankly, is not bad at all. I’ve seen people complain about it just because of what Anderson supports; I think that’s shallow, honestly.
