Yup! That was mine and my wife’s reaction to that scene, too.

This was one of my favorite scenes of the movie. Sunset and Twilight connecting/bonding and all :3 Also continuing Twi’s inner conflict whether to try to live up to people’s expectations or admitting that she was only…eh…human and could use some help.
 
The expressions during this whole scene were great and really helped to communicate the whole feeling of this moment to us, the audience. Seriously there was a huge improvement in the animation compared to the first movie :)

They have improved so much from Season 1 that it’s baffling to go back and watch it again, just for how better they got at it.

I love how even though it’s flash-style, My Little Pony has such great, expressive animation.
