Agreed. In Africa, we learned that the hard way with the formation of South Sudan. Now we have an oil rich nation with many warring factions and meddling westerners all vying for that precious oil. It’s sad.

I was more slightly leaning towards the ‘stay’ myself, though I’d be the first to admit I’m not the most informed and would be accepting of it going either way. I’m just not personally inclined towards letting Regionalist politics threaten national unity and would rather both sides just work together to solve things. Making a new country just leads to new problem that’d be harder to solve with a smaller resource base and general inconvenience.

IMO Scotland splitting from Great Britain would be a big mistake. I even heard jokes about GB splitting into Northumbria, Mercia, Wessex and East Anglia like it was in the 8th century :P. As much as it was just a joke, if the Scottish referendum would be positive Wales following them would be quite real.
