another one of my sketch commissions, this time from Sirius Face who asked for Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle in their super hero personas of Superfilly and Sweetie Do Well who have been captured by an evil assailant… or something I dunno maybe Love Knott got to them or something… ENJOY!

Self-righteous aggression is something that the tumblr community is pretty well known for.
Your “unthinking aggression due to taking moral offense” statement strongly reminded of that.
I saw your discussion of Punisher, but the way you phrased it doesn’t make me think that you’re making a direct quote of it.
From the samples of Punisher I’ve read, he DOES think about the consequences of his actions. He just takes the calculated risks to do what he thinks is right and accepts that he’ll likely be treated as just another violent criminal by the law enforcement.

To dumb it down as much as possible, dude get his family killed by the mafia, then spends most of free time getting into shootouts with murderers, rapists and other assorted low-lifes. He’s also incredibly ruthless, and it’s a big fan of the “taste of your own medicine” thing, but he only goes against either the biggest bastards of the criminal world or those who crossed him.
Thus the “no-fear-of-repercussion-because-of-moral-high-ground” thing.
He’s basically Batman without the qualms about killing and a inexplicable love for crew-served machine guns.
