Then put it on Snips or Snails and let it starve to death. :P
Well, brain slugs were more about the intelligence absorption than mere fashion.
That doesn’t make it clash less. :P
Looksl ike a brain slug:
As mentioned, if Hasbro wanted them to look like part of the wing, they could have. Hasbro made the conscious decision to make them more elaborate than just some struts.
I think the best thing to call them would be curtain rods, except they’re curved so they’re not rods per se.
Not what I mean. The shoes and clothing in general are mainly complex patterns with tons of cutie marks slapped on. It was more apparent in the early (uglier) EQG doll, but not as much in the newer ones since Hasbro is getting a better grip on EQG merch.
Also, that’s what I was saying, they’re not tentacles, but rather much needed supports since the wings wouldn’t stay up on their own otherwise.
I think you mean…
@Sjogre
Oh, wow, totally forgot about that! That’d be a neat touch!
If they wanted it to blend or be unobtrusive, like it was just part of the wing or the dress, they could have used featureless red plastic instead of spiked black.
Lolwut?
The other 5 (sans twilight) are in no way overkilled :/
The only ones overkilled on Details are sunset and the random fashion twilight dolls

It looks like the Supports are meant to be a part of her dress; Basically that she can Transform it from a trailing cape to wings at will.
I’d guess the tentacle look is just because that’s not really something you can do with cloth in a toy so they had to put in an actual hard plastic outline.
You’re missing the point. Yes, they support the wings. But what kind of thing are they? Mechanical tentacles, chitinous arms, what? They are more elaborate than just some poles strapped to her back.
Even on that vector, the black spiky things are visible rather than just showing the wing itself. Hasbro has certainly shown the ability to make the supports blend in better, so why did they make them so visible this time?
If you’ve been following the EQG line, you’d know that Hasbro does overkill decorations of each character for the dolls. The wings themselves are something I could see being canon. But they are no tentacles, they’re just supports. Look at the vector from the dolls boxart here, they’re just wing supports: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zaj8y1W_M9w/VBIv9H5xg1I/AAAAAAACAkk/k56vu4dLPqo/s1600/A1LiLsD0wlL.*SL1500*.jpg
The membranes of her wings are a flaming face, and the supports don’t have joints but do have a bunch of spikes, so they’re something strange. I’m not sure what those supports are supposed to be, but I think that tentacle is certainly a valid guess.
Whatever they are, they’re not just supposed to be normal wings.
Those are not tentacles. They’re the supports since the wings are made of a satin-like fabric and cannot stay up on their own.
Eh, either way. Guessing she’s going to be pretty central to this movie, given how her toy’s had WAY more thought and effort put into it than the other 5.
Heck if I know. Twilight was turned into a winged unicorn by the Elements, so it’s a distinct possibility.
Does that mean if she were to return to Equestria she’d become a demon alicorn?
Oh man, I hope that happens.
Ke$ha is awesome! Glitter everywhere!
