Personally, I think it’s far more likely that the show staff included Dreamy Cutebottom in order to please a fan of his, not to upset his haters. As for Tony Fleecs and Heather Breckel, that I can’t say.
Also, I have to admit I don’t recall as much griping over Andy Price and Katie Cook’s use of Dreamy Cutebottom in the Luna micro, which does lend some support to the claim that even some of his haters can tolerate him better if he’s given something amusing to do.
even if I exaggerated some of my points, the truth is that I’ve no interest in starting any arguments here. Arguing semantics is hardly what I’d call an interesting chat.
English is the ONLY LANGUAGE.

English is not my first language, bro.
The same could be said for any side/background character really being “shoved in.” Looking at the page he appeared on, >>709454 there’s tons of characters both popular, and unpopular cameo’ing there. So it’s not like he’s the only one.
Also, believe it, or not some fans do like him, so I see nothing wrong with giving him some subtle cameos. I don’t think they’re doing it to “spite” the fanbase, you’re going overboard with that assertion.
I know it’s not a big appearance, but much like Three’s a crowd, it feels like the writers abject to his initial impression, which imo was a more than just justified impression of his character and yet, they keep trying to shove him in for no reason.
he’s not liked, he’s a sore subject not just within the fandom, but for the show itself and even though everything about him being added suggests a bad idea, they’re still forcing him in without actually doing anything with him.
It all seems to stem just from the first impression, leading me to believe the writers are showing contempt for this part of their audience, all because people didn’t like Brad.
now, if they actually did something with him, then it would be fine, but adding him in just to spite others is a wrong mindset to have, besides being completely immature..
To be honest, I was never really bothered by Jar Jar Binks. (Never was a huge SW-nerd anyways. Haven’t even watched those in years.)
Also, honestly Flash’s appearance is so subtle in this issue, it’s a silly thing to get so angry over, and it’s in a crowd-scene, no less with lots more “shoved-in cameos.” (Honestly, the changeling was more-so out-of-place.)
Also, I’ve made jokes about Flash to, and made fun of him, so it’s ironic to try to imply I’m some “blind-Flash-fan” honestly. I don’t feel strongly about him ONE way or the OTHER.
I could just as easily say it’s “hip/cool/trendy” to hate him for no reason really.
(And if you give me the ol’ “he has no personality so he deserves to be hated” reason, I’m just going to point out all the insanely-popular background ponies who don’t do, or say ANYTHING in the show most of the time.)
PS: Looking back, I guess I was out of line with that, “This is sadly why people think we bronies are crazy” remark, I wasn’t putting down the fanbase, (as I defended it many times before) however, all I meant was fans getting so bent over such li’l things is contributing to why we have a bad rep’ sadly…
and Jar Jar Binks being shoved into 2 extra movies of Star Wars for no reason at all, despite being despised for being a loathsome waste of a character, is also an overreaction.
while I don’t hate Flash Sentry, I understand why he’s seen in such a negative light, it’s the reason I don’t endear him just because it became a sort of “hip” following, to defend him now for no reason at all.
This is sadly why people think we bronies are crazy.
That was some truly impressive grammar. You have clearly identified yourself as a man of the highest caliber.

I fixed it, I meant “in continuity.”
You cannot ‘consider’ something canon. That isn’t how canon works. Canon is what Hasbro says is official. You can choose to ignore it, but that doesn’t change what the canon actually is. What Hasbro said was the comics are canon until the show directly contradicts them.
-Lumino
*in continuity with the cartoon
I don’t consider Katie Cook characterizations canon.
Oh yeah, make him even MORE of a Shining Armor stand in. Not creepy at all.
-Lumino
Just an idea to characterize him SOMEHOW.
…Well,what’s your idea?
What kind of character could he have?Nothing about his actions or appearance has any thing that could make for a personality. The one thing he was made for(being twi lover) had completely failed. He literally has no personality. No potential whatsoever. Its no wonder he’s a joke for the crew.
Maybe I’m wrong.Maybe a fan could make something out of him.Maybe the crew could actually try doing something interesting with him.
I really don’t hate the guy,but I can’t find myself caring for him.The fandom has done nothing but make jokes how he’s a waifu thief(which is completely false. He lost Sunset and didn’t get Twi)and his name being Brad. There has to be some one who gives enough of a fuck to make some thing out of him.
I like that explanation better than “they just don’t care.”
