What if the sonic rainboom had never happened? Our beloved Mane 6 would have ended up very differently.
 
Pinkamena Diane Pie: Since Pinkie never saw the rainbow, she never threw the party. She continued working on the rock farm her whole life and became satisfied with her job. She earned a rock cutie mark similar to Maud’s. Pinkamena is still a happy pony, but she does not express it the same way.
 
Rarity: The rainboom never split the rock open, so she thought that her talent was gathering rocks and precious gems. She never became a fashion designer, but pursued a career in rock collecting. She and Pinkamena are close friends and business partners.
 
Rainbow Dash: She never performed the sonic rainboom and lost the race. Instead of earning her cutie mark in racing, she became a calm weatherpony after the embarrassing defeat.
 
Twilight Sparkle: She never unlocked her full magic potential and failed the entrance exam into Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, let alone become the Princess’s personal student. So she earned her cutie mark in authorship and became a teacher. She has written a good many books and moved to Ponyville to write in peace.
 
Fluttershy: Since she never realized her special connection with animals, Fluttershy instead went to work on the apple farm to stay on the ground. She has developed a slight country accent and is strong despite her size.
 
Applejewel: She never left Manehatten to return home and instead stuck it out with her Aunt and Uncle Orange. Applejewel did, however, move to Ponyville to start her own boutique. She has been working her whole life in Manehatten to learn how to design and is now close friends with Rarity, who still has a sense of fashion.
