I think it’s the personality that people turn to when comparing the Ponies to the Mercenaries. (i.e. Twilight (at least pre-show) and Sniper are grumpy loners, Scout and Rainbow have “better than you” attitudes, Rarity and Spy are high-class individuals etc.) Here Pinkie and Pyro are being compared because they are elite members of Cloudcuckooland.
 
That being said, Pinkie’s a bit more in tune with reality compared to Pyro.

Thing about the Pyro is that he doesn’t spread laughter, he’s more interested in sating his own desire to burn things. None of the mercs really embodies any of the elements of harmony (well, except the Spy, who has proven generous under some conditions).
