@Nightmare Fuel
There’s nothing uncanny valley about this, that only applies to human faces. Though whether or not it’s uncanny is subjective, personally I think it looks great.
Unflattering works. In all honesty, your style is creepy-looking, with bizarre asymmetry and squished faces; I don’t know what missed context you’re implying, but it’s not likely to have any bearing at all.
Not that I’m advocating uncredited work regardless of the skill involved — I find it as distasteful as anyone. I just think that too big a deal is made over it in such situations.. Some people could do with a little more patience and grace, :)

It was updated after BunnyCat commented, and several days after I called out my collaborator on uploading the piece signed by herself alone and presented her with an updated version with my own watermark.
If you search around the web, you’ll find several instances of the picture without it.
@Vox
I don’t think that is nice or fair for you to say, not to mention unflattering for me and my work. But then again, I’m assuming that you lack context.
@BunnyCat
I don’t think you appreciate how skillful this shading is. The linework is great and all, but it’s nothing compared to how well this is painted.
Your friend should feel lucky to have contributed to this at all.
