It would be epic if in the next finale he said that to Fluttershy and pretend he was friend all that time to come up with a plan to disarm harmony tree and rainbow power (which he know was there since S3 when he was released and felt magical imbalance right before stretching)Alliance with Tirek was just a back up plan but after he betray him he played his act as a hurt and pitiful creature to win them over again.
