Actually it’s Spike’s fetish. She’s just being a safety buddy to make sure he doesn’t hang for too long and taking notes on dragon physiology and psychology, with possible applications to pony psychology.
She tried outright stopping him, but later learned he hadn’t stopped but was just doing it secretly on his own which was unacceptably dangerous, of course. So she agreed to let him but only if she’s there as a safety buddy with all her magic and technical knowledge.
For the same reason something as fall of equestria has them too.
It might not have a lot of downvotes because of the spikeabuse tag. People who hate this stuff probably have it hidden. It’s also well drawn for what it is, so people might be not voting as a neutral response. Too objectionable to up, but not terrible enough to down, that’s my vote.
I’m aware of the Internet’s infinite chambers of degradation, and I’m also aware that Spike isn’t a favorite for many. But usually, fans have enough taste to give something like this its appropriate shower of downvotes. that’s what renews my faith that I’m part of a fandom of decent people.
