There’s a certain subtle level where it’s real, yet another where it’s not. Should I like myself as I am and everyone else as they are? Yes, but that doesn’t mean I should support destructive behavior or even like destructive behavior. Really, these words in the image can be interpreted in numerous ways and it may be intended not to say “Conform to someone else’s way” (Think of teenagers going in directions they’re not comfortable with which just don’t work for them) but to “Be yourself” (Home.) Read “Agape” (The Greek word) and it gives more context.
BTW, someone linked a photo of Adolf Hitler below; I don’t pretend now to know what Hitler went through but I also know he wasn’t “all bad”. And who knows why Hitler did what he did too? Which is another discussion. I also wonder if I even know Hitler on a deep context.
The winner here is to not consider horrible behavior to be me and to immediately rid myself of it much as a snake sheds its skin. (Same goes for all.) Yet if these words cause worry, whoever reads them is reading them not as I meant. It’s not at all to cause worry or fear.
By the same token, though, it’s unfair to bring up evil social justice stereotypes in response to positive messages. For example, there was no hateful bigotry anywhere near this particular image until people started being angry about the abstract idea thereof. When people act like that, it just encourages them to internalize their sense of victimhood and lash out at people who don’t actually do the things they’re getting mad about. I’ve seen far too many unprovoked “Social justice is genocide!” hate speeches to find them believable.
Ya, that is true but still they should try hard to not include a negative emphases in a positive message like some do on purpose.
I remember this one very beautiful image I came across that was about not being ashamed of your own sexuality. and it was to me crapped on by including a comment within it about how people that are CIS are the devil…
In reality, it’s more common that people act like the social justice monsters aren’t allowed to say positive or reasonable things, and that any anger they display (real or imagined) must be because of unproven bigotry, and not, say, because their attackers send them death threats and call them monsters on a regular basis. Even a completely positive message like this will still have bashers coming out to rehearse their own favorite stereotypes.
In my experience the “sjw-special snowflakes” type can’t seem to put any positive message out without bashing someone with at lest a backhanded comment.
They rarely do anything that doesn’t make them look like a bigot.
That’s what their attackers like to imagine, yes. Even when no hint of horrible evil bigotry is actually present.
Of course, they’re also often bashed for not being bigoted, but it’s no surprise that bashers are more focused on attacking ideas than actions.
Where one’s words, actions, behavior, or habits are harmful and others are trying to help them with such. Yet instead of accepting the help or admitting there is a problem they push back asking something like “Why can’t you just accept me the way I am?”
Not really, if it was of sjw-special snowflake bla bla, then it would also say “unless you are CIS, then you are a horrible scumbag” or something like that, the “sjw-special snowflakes” hate anyone that sees them self as the same gender that are born as.

Dammit, Godwin!
On a more relevant note, I find it hilarious that this generic motivational poster-ish blurb has earned a “lies” tag.
I am not a good person.
