Spoilers, dude! ;p
Yeah, I liked the li’l twist to. Also, supposedly the “monsters” in it are supposed to be like the legendary cryptids seen throughout history. (Like Big-foot, the “Jersey Devil,” and such.) It was also nice they had Karai in it.
I also liked how “Cowabunga Carl” poked fun at how they used to have people dressed as the turtles go to kid’s birthday parties, and such. So the humor was pretty good to.
The best scene was definitely the Raph VS Leo scene.
I remember that one, and I like the movie for the character Max Winters/Yaotl(voiced by Patrick Stewart :D) for how he just wanted to fix his mistake and end his time as an immortal, and all that time gave him the chance to rethink what he did and see the error of his old way, then got betrayed by his brotherhood and asked the turtles to help him, he got his redemption in the end.
Yeah, I’m just “cautiously optimistic” personally. I doubt it’ll be as good as the original 1990 movie, but should still be amusing.
Some people hated the 2007 CGI-animated movie, but I thought it was pretty good personally. (I mean honestly, those monsters the turtles fought aren’t the strangest creatures they battled… One ep’ of the original campier ‘80s/‘90s series had the turtles deal with an alien, who’s spaceship looked like a camper trailer, who took pictures of things, literally capturing things on film. Now THAT is strange… And on top of that said alien’s voice & look was based off Ed Wynn.)
Personally I’m hoping the designs of the turtles and Splinter is the worst thing about the movie(and Megan Fox as April isn’t really something I’m looking forward to) and that it will be good, but I’m not getting my hopes up to high.
I’m a li’l skeptical, but I’m mostly optimistic, as I don’t think the previews look as bad as some say.
Plus, I had doubts about the Nick TMNT show, and was worried Nick was going to overly kiddy-fy it, but they didn’t, and surprisingly did a good job on it.
@Prof.NightJack
I’m going to remain skeptically neutral towards it.
Jesus fuck, what is that thing?
They also don’t walk on 2 legs, don’t eat pizza, know ninjitsu, fight bad guys/aliens/robots, or other things.
As for the nose, I guess they could’ve done their snout/nostrils better, but could be worse.
It’s not the mask – it’s the nose. Turtles should NOT look like Shrek.
Same here.
Chill, dude. It’s just a mask.
I don’t care anyone says, I’m willing to give the new one a shot.
It’s always nice to see people in the target audience getting involved in the fandom.
