Iβm not trying to single out every new rapperβ¦ just the ones who overuse digital manipulation. I know there are still some good ones out there, including in my community, that still produce good bare bones rap. I believe the real message of Rap is to stay true to yourself and your turf, and not sucking on money. I donβt necessarily speak for the other comments from people on here.

i dont respect any opinion that uses 2chainz and lil wayne as a representation of new school rap (as if rappers who are sold for their image didint existed in the 90Β΄s or 80Β΄s), when if you actually dig deeper, you will find records that battle, and can even be better than 90Β΄s ones.
Canβt help it, bro. Iβm an oldschool guy. I donβt have much pity for certain obnoxious newer artists who like to mask their voice, much less Lilβ Wayne with that otherwise goat-like rapping voice of his.

Yeah, there are some great old rap artists and bands that I liked, like De La Soul, NWA, and PM Dawn. Now itβs just the same olβ, you know. Same olβ βnewβ tricks like the autotune you just mentioned. Meh I say.

Thatβs my scene as well. Especially Classic Metal and Thrash Metal, with some Death Metal andPower Metal as well. I never could quite get my head around Rap and Hip-Hop.

Well, many MLP:FiM fans such as myself have indeed grown up in the 90s, but this scene was still the pinnacle of cheese. Dated, moldy cheese. And pretty forgettable at that. First time I saw it, I was like βRightβ¦ βWonderbolts, YEAH!! Wonderbolts, HUH!!β Like thatβs going to be stuck in my head all day!β,
