the movie scares me and dark skies

Yeah,I actually found parts of the movie pretty interesting. If you see the aliens as less “extraterrestrials”  
And more “dark forces of nature” then the movie becomes more intense. I always felt that rather then the convoluted plot about God killing a preachers wife just so she could cryptically tell him to hit an alien with a base ball bat,the twist at the end should have been that the aliens were prisoners being given a death sentence. Being dumped on a death world where most of the surface and life forms are composed of “toxic” water. It would explain why the aliens were naked and had no weapons and were so aggressive,they were all criminals sent to die. Sadly that was not a path taken with this movie.
