Whenever people ask me these type of question, i simply answered “It’s a half glass of water.”  
And if they persist on asking me if it is half full or empty, then i’ll say “It’s god damn half a glass, and i’m sticking to that answer.”

Since the Beginning -

Actually, it depends on how the glass came to have water in it. If half was poured into the glass to the halfway point, it’s half full. If it was poured to the brim and then half was drank, it’s half empty.
