That’s part of my headcanon for why she resents Applebloom. DT only has a dad who barely has time for her while AB has no parents yet seems perfectly happy, which drives DT bonkers.
And she hates ponies without cutie mark because they remind her of her mother’s blank tombstone. It all adds up!
It makes too much sense. Those are the makings of an evil rich kid.
There’s a headcanon for you: Diamond Tiara is a bully because she’s not sure how to handle her mother’s death in any way besides lashing out at people.
