the way you described it, makes it sound like Nappa made the abridged version XD.
Y’know, it’s very strange. Despite almost being solely comedy, the abridged version actually manages to tell the story of DBZ well, almost as good as Kai. It’s basically the perfect thing to watch if you want to get into DBZ but don’t want to slag through about 300 episodes.
I grew up on dragon ball Z when I was a kid, but of course abridged is the first thing I thing of anymore XD
