and throw everyone other the stage and end the game!
the winner is Princess Twilight!
Rainbow is 2er
Mario is 3er
and Pikachu is last place!
Divine Buster is way better
(Touhou pun)
She would have some attacks that leave rainbow tracks for sure.
Well, what do you have in mind for how she can use the combs?
I was thinking of them being unlockable as well, and I did plan on Luna turning into Nightmare Moon for her final smash.
Wow, you’re like the second person to compare Celestia’s potential fight style to be like Palutena’s. Like Palutena, Celestia does have a wide variety of strategies when it comes to her abilities. The only big weakness that I can give her to balance out her powerful stats is that she has the biggest hitbox of any fighter.
I actually don’t have Trixie (and Sunset) as fighters. They’re just as collectable trophies. (Except for Sunset who’s one of the bosses of the Canterlot High stage.)
I must admit, I like that Down+A “aerial kick” you’re talking about. It does suit Dashie, and I imagine would leave a rainbow trail as she she zooms downward.
Yeah, Rarity has been shown to kick a monster in the face before, so she could have some physical attacks. I still like the “comb” attack ideas to though.
Those 4 could be “unlockable characters.” Maybe could Luna turn into Nightmare Moon (as a “final smash” kinda like Warioman, and Giga Bowser) or do you think Nightmare Moon should be a separate character? (Luna was shown to be able to transform into that form in “Luna Eclipsed.”)
I could see Celestia being a bit like Palutena. (Especially in personality.)
Trixie (or Sunset) could be a li’l similar to Twilight, but have some different attacks, and physics. (Kinda like Luigi or Falco.) I imagine Trixie could have a fireworks attack, and her “final smash” could be summoning the Ursa Minor.
Exactly! Dashie also get the aerial kick that Sonic, Sheik and Zero Suit Samus uses. Her aerial kick happens to be the strongest and has a meteor effect.
While I don’t exactly see Rarity using fashion accessories to attack, I can see her using a mix of magic and physical attacks since she’s one of the few ponies in the show that has attacked directly.
I was thinking of having Angel right by her and can also be controlled, much the Ice Climbers and Rosalina & Luma. The various animals that have taken residence in her cottage could also appear in her attacks, even though I don’t know how it will work.
I had the Stare in mind as her down-B (or side-B) special. It can stun opponents as if she broke their shields. One of the “custom move” variations I also have for the Stare is Explosive Stare. (While I haven’t figured out what her final smash is, Fluttershy WILL get infuriated if someone KOs Angel.)
The other ponies that I have “playable” are Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Shining Armor.
Yeah, a good idea would be Rainbow Dash’s midair attacks would be more useful/powerful, and have some multi-hit attacks. Her ground attacks would probably be a li’l less powerful. AJ would be the opposite with more powerful ground moves, and weaker mid-air moves.
I could see Rarity having attacks based on gems, and perhaps using things like combs, and fashion accessories to attack her opponents. Her final smash could be giving her opponent/s a “make-over.”
Fluttershy would probably have Angel on her back doing most of her attacks, but she could have some other animal-based attacks to. Her “stare” could also be incorporated, as a special, or “final-smash.” (Or have her lose her temper for a final smash.)
Yup, Twilight uses her magic for the majority of her attacks.
Rainbow Dash is definitely in the same group that Fox, Captain Falcon and Sonic are in. But since she’s a Pegasus, she has the best air defense and offense out of her friends.
Applejack would be mostly a close-combat fighter but I think she has to have a move in which she throws an apple. And I can’t decide if her lasso should a special move or her grab.
Oh yes, Pinkie would use all sorts of silly props as her attacks just like in Fighting is Magic. Her party cannon is obviously her neutral-B attack.
Rarity is kinda hard to figure out what kind of moves you can give her. I would have to watch some of her gameplay in Fighting is Magic and other MLP fangames to get some ideas. But I know she would use a lot of gems in her attacks.
Fluttershy would be the hardest to think up for a fighting game since she prefers to be a pacifist. That’s why Angel Bunny has to help her with actually inflicting damage on her opponents.
The Mane Six aren’t the only characters I have confirmed for MLP & SSB. (which is primarily based on both versions of SSB4 with some exceptions.)
Yeah, Twilight would be the more balanced, or magical-based one. Rainbow Dash would be more speedy, and less powerful, (like Fox or Sonic) while Applejack would probably be a bit stronger, and a li’l less speedy. (AJ’s “grab” move could be her lasso, and double as a “recovery” move.)
Pinkie Pie would have more comical/gimmick-based attacks, like her party canon, Gummy, party supplies, balloons, and such.
Well, I think her Up-B special should be magical teleportation much like Zelda’s Up-B special and her final smash involves Twilight summoning the Elements of Harmony. At the moment, I think it would be like Pit’s and Ness’s final smashes and Lucario’s final smash from Brawl.
Of the MLP characters that I have “conformed” for my fantasy MLP & SSB crossover, Twilight is made to be the well-balanced pony.
Thanks! What did you think of?
Those are some awesome moveset ideas! However I did have some alternate ideas on certain moves like with Twilight’s potential final smash and her Up-B special.
Princess Mega Rapidash Sparkle
Inflict damage on enemies (without causing flinching) on contact, gain new moveset.
Neutral attack: Smack with wings and stab with horn.
Forward attack: Buck with hind hooves.
Down attack: Tries to dance while on fire.
Up attack: Small burst of magic, low damage but high knockback.
Dashing attack: Horn gains magic cover and she stabs.
Ledge-recovery attack: Teleports to spot and causes a no-damage pulse that pushes enemies away.
Neutral air: Aura of fire surrounds her.
Forward air: Smack with a rainbow that is on fire.
Backward air: Dark magic shadow-burst.
Down air: Flaps wings to blast with wind–can meteor smash.
Up air: Aerial buck.
Shield: Has that wavy-magic-aura pony magic does.
Roll/Aerial dodge: Teleport.
Up taunt: Eyes glow with dark magic, Elements provide a rainbow aura.
Side taunt: Flames flicker out to show Twilight with magic-wavy-mane.
Down taunt: Reads a book that is also on fire.
Up Smash: Multi-colored mushroom cloud in your position.
Side Smash: Short-range Princess-laser.
Down Smash: Fire blast to floor; leaves lava for 2 second afterwards.
Grab: Swirly magic
Grab pummel: Fire
Forward Throw: Throws straight ahead accompanied by machinegun-like lasers.
Backward Throw: Use black magic as throw, causes more damage over time.
Down Throw: Face, meet fire
Up Throw: Reverse gravity, hurl fighter upwards upwards.
Up-B: Grants actual flight, damage wide area at lift-off point
Forward-B: Elements of Harmony beam, low damage but lengthy paralysis
Down-B: Reflective barrier with a short duration that lets you move.
Neutral-B: “Fuck You” Quadruple Princess Energy Cannon. Using it ends the Final Smash.
Yes, but with faster adjusting.
Or maybe like Lucario’s Final Smash from Brawl?
That has potential. Though I was thinking of having the Elements appear when she activates the final smash. Also, her giant magic beam can be adjusted like Ness’s Starstorm.
I can understand that.
If the rest of the Mane 6 were playable, then I guess Twi’s final smash could be that big laser she used at the start of the Tirek fight… or something. ^^;
I’ve been thinking up concepts for an MLP & Super Smash Bros what-if crossover with my friends and while both the Elements of Harmony and/or Rainbow Power can be used as Twilight’s final smash, her friends won’t be included. Because they’re also playable characters with final smashes of their own. (I already ten characters from the show considered playable.)
Yeah, that would be more likely. We only saw her “firey” form once in the show, so I think it was just a one-time gag.
But they could still have her “rapidash” color scheme as an alternate costume.
If Twilight was the only pony character in Smash, then I could see the rest of the Mane 6 show up to assist her in her final smash…
For the Final Smash itself, I could see it being either the Elements of Harmony or the Rainbow Power attack… ^^
@Background Pony #62D1
I think her final smash would be a magical burst whether she’s in her Rainbow Power form or not.
