A comparison of the initial concept art of my first official MLP OC and a more recent and detailed version of him. Wow, I sucked back then. I mean really, I thought that old picture was GOOD at the time.
Don’t expect to get much from this, just saw someone else posting something similar and decided to join in, have at least SOME picture of him here.

Maybe you should. I bet you have improved a lot in 3 years.
Keep trying. Believe me, you’d do a lot better than me. I got better at art but turned into a total asshole over 17 years online, so no matter how good I got at art, I slowly ostracized every single furry art community on the internet.
I will admit, I’m not the best. I do what I can with what I have, and that’s fine for most people I’ve encountered.
It’s also worth noting this isn’t my latest work. While it’s not vastly different, I’ve been working to tone down the saturation on the colors, blend the red in with the mane, give some more depth to the eyes…
The point is I’m constantly trying to improve. I was just showing how I had gone from a shitty drawing in Paint to a slightly less shitty drawing in Paint. I fully acknowledge that I’m not great at this, I don’t have the skill or patience to be amazing at pixel-art like some people I’ve seen use Paint.
Somehow that hasn’t stopped approximately 250 on Tumblr from following me, some of whom are much better artists than I am… and are some of my closest friends.
So yeah. That’s a thing. Don’t know what else to say in my defense. I suck. I’m trying my best not to.
The problem is though, there’s no visible improvement. It’s the same flat colors over the same terribly rendered 3edgy5me pone.
hey don’t get to down about it. Some people just don’t like grimdark. Maybe some don’t like the art. But I can appreciate it because I know I couldn’t do better at all. And I bet most of the people that downvote can’t even art lol

Yeah, I admit that it’s shoddily edited and the initial concept is shit. I can understand the downvotes on it.
