At one point, Littlepip says, “I’m on a mission from Gawd.”
 
How can you not want to read the story? It is full of little snippets of funniness like that. I also cry when I finally finished that story. Man, that was my favorite story evar.

One of my favorite fics in this fandom is “Equestria: Total War” on FiMFiction, but it’s been something like half a year since the last update and the author seems to have vanished.
 
I still recommend what has been written so far though.

Definitely read Heroes.
 
Another I’d recommend is Misfits, for taking gender roles and fucking them to shit. What do you do when one minute you’re a stallion, and the next you wake up in the middle of the desert wasteland as a female alicorn, several months having passed before Unity was destroyed? Panic and have a severe existential crisis, that’s what. Unfortunately, it hasn’t updated for a long time. But it’s worth the read.

I may have to read Heroes. I am intrigued! I would have to recommend that you read Pink Eyes though if you have the time and inclination Yorec. The plotline is consistant and sensical despite at times becoming gloriously silly, and you can’t help but love Puppysmiles for her foalishness and never-say-die optimism.

Fucking miracles. She’s a very endearing character though. And she does pull some really clever shit.
 
To make up for being dumb as a rock, though, she is fucking terrifying. She literally kills five Steel Rangers on her own, without wearing any armor. She’s pro as fuck.

Also, and this is not bashing Fo:E, but I really doubt a non-interactive Fallout medium could work. It’s a game series where you could do whatever you wanted at a price. Atmosphere and characters are nice, but fundamentally, it seems sketchy.

Well, the original Fallout Equestria makes it work. Horizons is kind of pointlessly dark, and what little humor there is is really retarded.
 
I think the only side story that comes close to the original is Heroes. I love the uniqueness of having a narrator that is almost literally as dumb as a rock. Before she gets the intelligence implant, Silver’s intelligence stat is… 2.
 
But as funny as it is, it is pretty damn bleak. It feels more like a traditional Fallout though. It’s good.

Regular Fallout is dark, but has that ridiculously cheery 50’s/60’s atmosphere that makes it silly. There’s also all sorts of ridiculous humor.
 
FO:E is pretty much absolutely bleak as fuck.

Alright sounds good. Even though regular fallout is dark I also felt it was overall a rather optimistic game. At least that’s how I played it.
 
I guess that’s why I’ve never really gotten into FO:E, it just seems too dark from what I’ve heard. Also its stupidly long.

It’s significantly shorter, though still longer than some fics you’re likely to read. It’s also… if not less grim, than more touching than Fallout Equestria, with leaning more toward humor, action-adventure and pathos than blood, guts and horror. I would recommend it, if for Puppysmiles alone.
