Except that no one actually did try to bring Button back save for maybe a few and 2 really well made ones after the C&D that are well received brought him back just to make a joke about the C&D which was already old news by then (Cutie Remark Prequel in 2016 which had nothing to do with Button Mash till the bit at the end and Graveyard Smash in 2014)
So yea, not gonna happen anytime soon

Michelle/Applebloom is not the first time actually a VA was involved in a fan project.
In fact, VA Grey DeLisle (a friend of Tara Strong who isn’t in MLP) loves Derpy so much, she participated in a parody fan animation.
C&D for what? The JanAnimation videos awhile back? I wouldn’t… bug her about it, get her involved, or any of the show’s staff for that matter. It’s kinda old news anyways, as disapointing as it was…

Not always, plus people here tend to respect the opinions of most of the show’s staff. (Usually.) Also, SweetieMash pics usually get upvoted, so it seems to be a pretty well accepted fan-‘ship for the most part.
I’m not really into ‘shipping, but even I’ll admit I liked the “Don’t Mine at Night” music video, and some of the SweetieMash artwork.

You’d be surprised how many people that work on shows and ship characters. I remember that one of the Adventure Time artists really likes Marceline X Bubblegum.
