Merch is a no-no for me because I suck with money. I mean, I like the show a lot, with only the Half Series surpassing it in terms of general quality. But I don’t call myself a Half Lifer or a Freeman. I’m just a fan.

Guess voicing a giant crab in G1’s mlp was kinda traumatic for him.

No it’s not a paradox. I like MLP:FIM but I don’t buy their merchandise. MLP:FIM is something I watch as a show. I see it as its own entity, a sign that the franchise has finally started getting good. It’s a show that I can enjoy (c’mon it’s Lauren Faust you can’t go wrong with that). I loved Powerpuff Girls when I was a little kid but I didn’t buy the merchandise. I liked Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends but I didn’t buy IT’S merchandise. The only thing that comes remotely to even buying MLP:FIM merchandise for me is when my niece got two Lunas (one lights up), Celestia and Pinkie Pie. It’s okay to like something but to be a hardcore fan of another. For starters, I am a diehard Godzilla fan. If there’s any new Godzilla merchandise, you can just bet I’ll be on it like flies over a carcass. It’s not a paradox. Take Takashi, he likes MLP:FIM but he outright loves Transformers and Avatar (Last Airbender and Legend of Korra). It’s okay to like something. Peter Cullen isn’t dead to me after he said this, I still respect him and I still respect his opinion. I’m not a brony but I like MLP:FIM but I outright adore Godzilla. I hope that shines some light on the subject.
