Actually, I think it’s a whole new Luna made with the Cadence II mould rather than the Celestia mould. Only the colors look like the old blind bag Luna.
Don’t forget, you’re talking about the company that took two years to make an individual mold for Fluttershy. :P

I always liked that design anyway.
Even outside of this, Hasbro uses S1 Luna design everywhere. They just refuse to acknowledge that Luna Eclipsed ever happened. Or any other post-S1 Luna episode, for that matter.
